When you see the name ‘Vishesh Films’, you know at one go that it is a Bollywood thriller from the Bhatt camp. This time, it is ‘Blood Money’. Directed by Vishal Mahadkar and produced by Mukesh Bhatt, the film has Kunal Khemu and Amrita Puri in the lead cast.
The initial plot is the same old Bollywood story of a guy and a girl in love, but with opposition from the girl’s parents, and then the couple running away to get married. Yes, that is how the story of Blood Money unfolds. Kunal is a simple man in love with Arzoo, but they can’t get married because her parents don’t approve of the match, as Kunal is unsuccessful. However, the duo elopes and gets married, and shifts base to Cape Town. But hold on!
Here comes the major twist in the story. Kunal begins to work in a small scale business of diamond exporting, but he has no clue that he is being dragged into the underworld slowly! And then begins the journey of blood and money and the quest to survive in the bad world of underworld.
Blood Money might have a repetitive plot, but the execution of the story is what we are looking forward to. The music score has been given by Calcutta-based music director Jeet Gannguli, who has scored for some of the most famous Bengali movies of recent times. Viacom 18 Motion Pictures is the distributor of the film, which is slated for a 30th March release.
