Anushka to star with Aamir?

Anushka Sharma is going places. After a spectacular debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan, she became a favourite with Yash Raj Films. Her next film is with SRK again, this time under the directorial baton of none other than Yash Chopra.

But if sources are to believed, the ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ actress might have bagged her biggest project yet – Rajkumar Hirani’s next film ‘Peekay’ with Aamir Khan! A tabloid reports that the filmmaker has chosen Anushka as the lead and though the story and script is still not ready, he wants only Anushka as the heroine. The two even had meetings recently and from what he saw, the director is suitably impressed. “He feels she has a lot of spunk,” said a source.

Apparently, Aamir Khan who starred in Hirani’s last film, ‘3 Idiots’ is likely to be the male lead. And if all goes well, it will be a huge leap for Anushka to step into the Top 5 actresses category. A few months ago, she signed Vishal Bhardwaj's ‘Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola’ with Imran Khan. So that leaves only two Khans to conquer for Ms Sharma – Saif and Salman!
